I chose English Language at A-level as I believed it would enhance my writing ability and also my speaking ability. However, English Language at ST Benedict’s isn’t what I’d hoped it would be. This is because the English Language course I am studying is Language through Literature. If I wanted to study literature I would’ve picked English Literature; so therefore, I have chose to drop English Language, much to my teachers delight, and instead chosen to do History. I find History much more enjoyable and fascinating than studying terms such as lexis and high frequency lexis. HISTORY FTW!
